Baltimore County Together Pop-up Markets

The Baltimore County Together campaign's pop-up market initiative was designed to support families and businesses throughout Baltimore County as the community faces the COVID-19 state of emergency together. The program, through the support of many volunteers, businesses and charity partners, has organized weekly pop-up markets throughout the county where residents can safely have low-cost or donated fresh produce orders at loaded directly into their vehicles.

In collaboration with local company Keany Produce and commercial property partners throughout the county, the Baltimore County Together campaign has launched ordering for weekly produce kits that can be picked up at “pop-up markets” in each of the seven county council districts.

The produce kits will be made available for a significantly reduced cost of just $20 for more than 15 pounds of fresh produce. Reservations for the kits can be made online between Sunday and Wednesday each week to be picked up each Saturday. These prepared produce kits will provide options for fruits, vegetables, and combination packages to support families for up to two weeks at a time. The campaign is also accepting donations so that additional kits can be purchased and provided to those in need for free. Neighbors in need of support can also request a donated box through the website.

The website will facilitate the organization of orders and pick-up appointments, where volunteers will oversee the distribution of the boxes in business parking lots throughout the county. To help with social distancing concerns and ensure compliance with Governor Hogan’s state of emergency proclamations,  the tool will help coordinate the ability for orders to be distributed in car-lines in the parking lots where participants simply show their receipt on their phone and have the boxes loaded into their cars without having to exchange credit cards, cash or otherwise come in contact with others.

All orders must be placed online, and no orders will be permitted to be made at the sites. Individuals submitting orders must adhere to their appointment and location time. Please use the “Shop” page on the link below to select a distribution center and make a reservation for a family meal kit. Kits will be made available on a first come first serve basis. Upon completing your order, please be sure to save your email receipt on your phone so that it can be presented upon pick-up to redeem your order.
